The Founder

Dr. Grier Lin completed his PhD at University of New South Wales Sydney in 1972 and has been researching and practicing computer integrated manufacturing, management, leadership, positive psychology, and happiness and wellbeing. He was invited to take up a professorship at University of South Australia in 1991 and has held positions of Head of School, Director of a successful Research Centre and Deputy Vice President (International).

Professor Lin has been invited as a Visiting Professor at Cornell University (USA), Cambridge University (UK) and the National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan).

Professor Lin has many years of teaching,  research and industrial experience in Australia, the United States, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Jordan, Taiwan and China.

He has been invited as a keynote speaker for over 26 international conferences in many countries including Australia, UK, France, Canada, USA, Singapore, Taiwan Jordan, Mexico, China, Japan, etc.  He has published six books and over two hundred and fifty papers and has received prizes and outstanding awards for his research and publications. He has been invited to be an editorial board member of many international journals and the Editor-in Chief of an Oxford based international journal. He was awarded the Unsound Hero of South Australian Science.

Dr. Lin is confident that through positive change it is relatively easy to improve our levels of happiness on a daily basis. He establishes the Australian Institute of Happiness and Wellbeing (AIHW) to foster happiness and wellbeing for those who deserve the utmost happiness and help create happier nations.
